Redmi Projector 4 debuts with 1080p visuals, 360 lumens, and HyperOS smart features

Xiaomi continues to make home entertainment smarter — and more affordable.
The company has launched the Redmi Projector 4 in China, priced at 999 yuan (around $140), joining the new Pro version in its growing lineup of connected projectors.

Compact, stylish, and practical

The Redmi Projector 4 features a compact sand-colored body with a metallic front panel, giving it a clean, living room-friendly aesthetic. Weighing just 1.5 kg and measuring 151.4 × 125 × 204.8 mm, it’s designed to fit easily on any shelf or bedside table.

Redmi Projector 4 blends minimalist design with 1080p clarity and HyperOS integration

Using LCD display technology, it supports native 1080p resolution and a 1.2:1 throw ratio, projecting screens between 55 and 120 inches depending on your setup. Xiaomi’s custom-sealed optical engine enhances brightness and prevents dust intrusion — a key improvement for long-term clarity.

Brighter visuals, safer viewing

The new projector delivers 360 CVIA lumens, about 38% brighter than its predecessor. It’s also SGS Low Blue Light certified, meaning it filters out harmful blue wavelengths between 415 and 455 nm to reduce eye fatigue during long movie nights.

Smooth motion and smarter control

For fluid playback, Xiaomi added MEMC motion compensation, reducing blur and stutter during fast-paced scenes. Inside, the MediaTek MT9660 processor, paired with 2GB RAM and 32GB storage, keeps performance stable. Running on HyperOS Connect, it syncs seamlessly with other Xiaomi smart devices — from lighting to curtains — for automated home cinema experiences.

Automatic setup and immersive sound

The built-in ToF module handles autofocus and automatic keystone correction, adjusting within ±15° in multiple directions. That means sharp visuals even when the projector isn’t perfectly centered. Dual 5W full-range speakers powered by a digital amplifier provide surprisingly rich audio, enough for small to mid-sized rooms without external speakers.

Connectivity and versatility

Ports include HDMI, USB, and a 3.5 mm jack, alongside dual-band Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 5.1. You can stream directly from your phone, tablet, or laptop — or switch it into Bluetooth speaker mode when not projecting.

The Redmi Projector 4 shows how Xiaomi continues to blur the line between smart gadgets and lifestyle essentials. It’s not just about specs; it’s about turning everyday spaces into connected, cinematic moments — all for under $150.
